NIZWA FORT – NIZWA SOUQ – AL HAMRA OLD VILLAGE – MISFAH AL ARBEIEEN – JEBEL SHAMS
We depart Muscat to Nizwa, the old capital of Oman. Visit to the famous Nizwa Fortress. Today, for is a museum that showcases the history of the fort and surrounding area. Walking through the fortress you get to see amazing views of the ancient town and the nearby mountains. This impressive fortress was a base used in the military to hold off the hardest attacks and sieges. Next to the fortress is the large Nizwa Souq, a local marketplace that offers a variety of goods including jewelry, pottery, fish, and meats. The list goes on! After, we drive to Al Hamra to visit the village where we experience how the locals create a lifestyle in the older times home to the mountain village of Misfah Al Abryeen, here some of the oldest preserved houses in Oman can be found, then continue drive Jebel Shams , which is the Ministry of Tourism, Sultanate of Oman, Walking around, there is so much to see and be amazed by. One late afternoon arrives, and we depart back to Muscat.
